In Memoriam: Bruce Rogers

The shared parenting movement and National Parents Organization, in particular, have lost a valued fighter. On October 14, Bruce Rogers lost his more than two-year battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer.

Bruce was the founder of  Virtual, a highly successful company that provides consulting, public relations, and operational management services to more than half of the Fortune 100 corporations. Virtual was named three times to Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies.

In 2006, Bruce brought his vision and experience to the shared parenting movement, becoming a member of the Board of National Parents Organization (then, Fathers & Families). Bruce’s expertise in marketing and organizational effectiveness was instrumental in guiding NPO through a number of significant transitions. He made important and lasting contributions to the organization, enhancing its status as the nation’s leading shared parenting organization.

Bruce is survived by his sons, Brett and Jackson, and his sister Gayle.
